WORK ON THE MAIN HOUSE (ongoing)
We are in te final stages of the work on this part of the main house. Currently we are working on the bathroom where we are plastering and soon be tiling. In the kitchen part the compleet kitchen unit need to be placed. But before that we are first going to poor a concrete floor with floor heating in the whole part.
GARDEN / LANDSCAPING PROJECT (ongoing)
Currently we are working on creating a small garden at the main house. But soon we will be starting creating a community garden on the land down the road. The soil need to be flattened and revitalized. We will be setting up garden beds and create paths through the garden. We need to construct a greenhouse and perhaps also some accommodation for some animals.. This project runs all year long
WORK ON THE NEW HOUSE
As you know i am buying a new house in the Ghost Town. This house is going to be used as a Ghost Town ‘Bunk House’, where volunteers and day travelers kan stay. This house needs to have some basic aesthetics work done. fixing up the rooms, paining, making bunk beds, floor, etc. Rather easy work.
This project should be completed eind of May
CLADDING THE CONTAINER
Adam converted the schipping container into a small room. For the room to be habitable in the summer times, it needs to have some cladding and a roof. We would like to give it an authentic wood appearance. Rustic and fitting in the environment. This project will (probably) run till eind of June 2024
THE SECRET PROJECT
We are going to create something special in the village this Season. If you have building experience or like to get some building experience, we are going to restore a building. Inside and outside, from cementing and redenering to roofing and tiling This building is going to have a special purpose within the community!
LIVE HARVEST & PRUNING
This year wil be the first olive harvest we do in the Ghost Town. We have about 65 olive trees n total so we are going to need some help. After the olives are harvested we also need to prune all the olive trees. If you feel like doing some manual labor and have some fun at the same time, come and help out!
